濾水斗式提升機的標準設計采用鏈傳動。它是利用可以屈伸的鏈作為傳動元件,通過鏈與裝在平行軸上的鏈輪的輪齒進行嚙合傳動,所以它兼有帶傳動和齒輪傳動的一些優點。

斗鏈運行速度的選擇斗鏈運行速度是脫水斗式提升機設計計算的重要參數,脫水用的提升機斗鏈速度很低,只有0.16m/s0.27m/s兩種。作為終產品的脫水,一般選用0.16m/s;作為中間產品的轉載(如主洗中煤)可選用0.27m/s的斗鏈速度。對于用于提升洗滌后的矸石,在滿足運量要求的情況下,盡量選取較低的速度,初選斗鏈的速度v =0.16m/s。
